About
On becoming an animal communicator
Was I prepared for pets to teach me about
free will, purpose and reincarnation ? No.
I never planned to homeschool. In fact, I was looking forward to sending my girl to Kindergarten with the rest of the 5-year-olds around the world, and I'd finally get my life back.
My divine plan did not have public school in the cards, however. So part of my life's purpose all of a sudden became educating my daughter, but I needed more.
As the waves of perimenopause crashed on my shore at the same time, I felt a strong awakening of my spiritual self. What if I could help others with something I already had inside?
It became clear during a weekly hypnotherapy group that I could see things vividly in my mind's eye. Visions of my inner child, horses, nature and healing spaces popped inside my head.
Did I have something here? Then a friend mentioned that her friend had a session with an animal communicator for her daughter's horse, and I knew I had to explore that.
As I worked through an animal communication course by Katherine Pettit, I discovered that our cat, Sugar,
came to us to be the second baby I couldn't have, to give and receive unconditional love, and to protect our energies. Read the full transcript here.
We've had her since 2023 when she came to us from Mexico via strangers we met on the beach - more on that another time. She's a really unique cat, so connecting with her was my obvious first reading.
She told me about the cat family she lost in Mexico, the death of her mother, how cold it is in Canada, meditating with crystals to help me sleep, magnesium soaks for my feet, how Earth is a regenerative ecosystem that's constantly rebalancing (unlike humans), technology and clones.
And as I constantly improve and learn with more and more readings, the animals tell me everything from needing more carpet at home to how free will works; from what food they prefer to why we forget dreams and what they were in previous lives.
Needless to say, I'm awed every day by the depth and breadth of knowledge that our animals possess about us, life and the quantum field. They tell me we underestimate them, and I know we have. Until now.
